Positions

Position: Software Engineer
Description:

As a full-time Software Engineer you will be responsible for handling several aspects of Navisens software. This includes designing the Navisens SDK, integrating with Navisens libraries, designing and implementing industrial grade customer-facing both web and mobile applications with Navisens technology. This role is suited for fearless engineers who won’t take no for an answer, if you are extremely independent, a fast learner, creative and talented, this role is for you. We believe that strong experience speaks for itself, whether that experience is from a BS, Master's degree, previous job or personal project.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Web & Mobile applications
  • Build Web/Mobile libraries
  • Design SDK/API interfaces
  • Influence the technological decisions of the company
  • Help customers integrate Navisens products in industrial grade systems
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS. in CS with experience or equivalent
  • Proficient in mobile application development, both iOS and Android, in depth knowledge of Objective C, Java, C/C++
  • Proficient in Web application development using the latest and greatest of web technologies, complete understanding of Javascript/HTML/AJAX
  • Good knowledge of shell scripting
  • Extremely independent
  • Excellent code quality is a must!
Desired Qualifications:
  • Significant UI/UX development on both Web and Mobile applications
  • Experience in writing custom QA & build scripts
  • Experience of Web & Mobile libraries, socket.io, Node, OpenFrameworks, AngularJS, WebGL (threejs, cesiumjs)
  • Experience in C/C++
  • Familiar with the entire spectrum of web communication protocols
  • Experience in security systems
Position: Research Engineer (Robotics/Estimation)
Description:

The Research Engineer is a full-time engineer with a background in robotics, state estimation, mobile robot localization, and signal processing (or some combination of those skills). As a member of the Navisens team, you will build robust, state of the art algorithms that help improve our core navigation technology. We are looking for engineers that are extremely creative, can move quickly and are not afraid to tackle any problem that comes their way. We believe that strong experience speaks for itself, whether that experience is from a PhD, Master's degree, previous job or personal project.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MS or PhD degree in robotics or a related field with 2-3 years research and/or industrial experience
  • Localization experience: experience with mobile robotics localization systems
  • Theoretical software: sensor fusion, state estimation, signal processing
  • Probabilistic estimation: Kalman Filtering, SLAM, inertial navigation
  • Fundamentals in linear algebra, and probabilistic techniques
  • Creativity is key!
  • Fluent in Python or Matlab for prototyping ideas
  • Broad experience from many different types of projects
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Strong analytical ability, interest in applied research and solving real-world robotics problems
  • Ready to work at a fast-paced startup, iterate quickly, and deploy technology to live users
Desired Qualifications:
  • Inertial Navigation Systems: experience with INS, GPS-INS fusion, vehicle navigation
  • Computer Vision: visual-inertial navigation, SLAM, real-time feature extraction, optic flow, kernel functions, visual sensor fusion, etc
  • Machine Learning, AI, control systems
  • Experience with robotics techniques such as ICP, path planning
  • Experience with robotics platforms such as PCL/ROS
  • C/C++ programming experience
